And if you heard the host call our results “unbelievable,” I recorded a short video explaining why they’re actually very achievable for real homeschool families:
with the holidays and wet weather upon, it's docuseries season for us!
🐾 Be Brave, Stay Wild (Discovery — Coyote Peterson)
We’re about halfway through this short docuseries, and my boys are LOVING it.
It’s your classic nature documentary, but with a twist: Coyote is clean, a little goofy, and super engaging — especially for younger kiddos.
No language bleeps. No edgy persona. Just genuine nature exploration and fun.
Perfect choice if you want something educational and gentle enough for the whole family.
🧠 Limitless with Chris Hemsworth (Disney+)
This one is a family favorite. Chris Hemsworth (Thor) takes on incredible physical and mental challenges while breaking down the neuroscience and psychology behind what the human body can do.
It leads to such great conversations about mindset, resilience, and our nervous systems. And good news — there’s a new season!
The only episode we didn’t love was the one about death in Season 1. Not bad — just heavy. We still had great discussions afterward, but you may want to preview it first.
🐅 Extinct or Alive with Forrest Galante (Discovery+)
This one is intense but fascinating. Forrest Galante is… well, edgy. His personality is big, bold, and often bleep-worthy. But he’s also incredibly passionate and excellent for older kids who love adventure and wildlife.
Each episode explores animals that may — or may not — be extinct, and the science behind trying to find them.
Definitely preview for younger kids, but WOW is it engaging.
