Something I’ve noticed—both in the gym and at home— the moment right before something clicks… usually feels the most frustrating.
It’s the part where you’re trying, adjusting, showing up…
and still not quite seeing the result yet.
That’s the moment where it’s easiest to think:
👉 “Maybe this isn’t working.”
But most of the time? It’s not that NOTHING'S working. You just can’t see what needs to shift yet.
And sometimes, one small shift is all it takes to turn that corner.
That’s the part support changes. Not by doing it for you— but by helping you see what’s already there.

✨ Oregon Park Meetup Days
FREE
We had our first week of park meetups—and it was so fun.
Seeing familiar faces, meeting a few new families, and just letting the kids run around while we got to breathe and talk for a bit… it felt really good.
If you’re local and have been wanting something simple like that, I’d love for you to come join us.
We’re meeting:
👉 Tuesdays in Wilsonville 👉 Wednesdays in Hillsboro
These are super low-key.
No pressure. No need to have anything figured out. Just come as you are and let the kids play.
If you want the schedule and reminders, you can grab all the details here:
This one-day conference brings homeschool families together for practical workshops, encouragement, and connection with other parents walking the same path.
I’ll be leading a session called:
Let’s Calm the Chaos and Create a Calm, Doable Homeschool Routine If your homeschool days feel reactive or overwhelming, this workshop will help you reset your approach and build a routine that actually works for your family.
There’s some mild peril (enough to keep it interesting), but what stands out more is how much learning is woven in — survival skills, problem-solving, using what you have.
It was originally written by a dad for his kids, and you can feel that. There’s a steady thread of character, resilience, and resourcefulness throughout the story.
It’s not fast-paced or flashy — but it’s rich in a way that sticks.
A great fit if you want something adventurous that still builds good thinking and strong character.
🌙 Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein AGES 6–14
Since April is National Poetry Month, this felt like the perfect one to pull out.
Yes, I love the classics like Ralph Waldo Emerson and Emily Dickinson — but there’s something special about how fun Shel Silverstein makes poetry.
It’s silly, bouncy, and just weird enough to pull kids in.
This is the kind of poetry that gets kids laughing… and without realizing it, they’re building rhythm, language, and a feel for words.
An easy, low-pressure way to bring poetry into your home.
🌸 The Big Book of Blooms AGES 3–12
With spring here and May right around the corner, this is such a fun one to grab from the library.
It’s visually stunning — the kind of book kids will flip through just because it’s beautiful — but it’s also packed with interesting facts about all kinds of flowers.
This is one of those books you leave out and let it do its thing.
Perfect for curious kids, nature lovers, or anyone who enjoys slowing down and noticing the details.
